In short: the difference
OKX is a venue with bots and a Web3 side. On the market since 2017, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own OKB token.
KCEX is a venue that doubles as a toolkit. On the market since 2021, jurisdiction: Seychelles.
What OKX gives you
Compared with an ecosystem, OKX leans on its own strengths: One of the few venues with a full derivatives suite: spot, perpetual and dated futures, options. Plus P2P, savings and staking, coin launches on Jumpstart, copy trading, bots and its own Web3 wallet with access to decentralised exchanges. It runs its own X Layer network, where USDT withdrawals are free.
Strong sides: free withdrawals on its own X Layer network, a full derivatives suite, a built-in Web3 wallet.
What KCEX gives you
The rival’s service list is wide, yet KCEX wins on other things: Over eight hundred perpetuals is what KCEX carries, every one of them publishing a funding rate and a mark price, with spot adding another eight hundred and fifty pairs. The pitch is straightforward: nothing per spot trade and modest rates on derivatives. Copy trading and launches sit on top, and turnover gathers in the top hundred pairs.
Strong sides: 800+ contracts with open rates and mark prices, zero spot fees per the venue’s own schedule, early listings.
What decides it
- Age. OKX has run since 2017, KCEX since 2021 — a gap of 4 years. It guarantees nothing on its own, but the older venue has been through more market cycles.
- Native token. OKB on OKX cuts fees and opens launches; KCEX has no such lever.
- Strengths side by side. OKX: free withdrawals on its own X Layer network, a full derivatives suite, a built-in Web3 wallet; KCEX: 800+ contracts with open rates and mark prices, zero spot fees per the venue’s own schedule, early listings.
- Which job. OKX is for anyone who needs options and access to decentralised markets from one window, while KCEX is primarily as a futures venue in funding.
- Worth remembering. OKX: the interface is dense: a newcomer needs time to settle in. KCEX: spot books are served one pair per request, so we keep the top hundred by turnover under watch.
Which one fits you

What people ask most
OKX: How does OKX differ from Binance? Books are nearly as deep, trading pairs are often more numerous, and the app contains a non-custodial wallet with a DEX aggregator — a combination Binance does not offer.
OKX: What is the separate European domain? Users in the European Economic Area are served by a separate legal entity on its own domain. Accounts and API keys do not carry across.
KCEX: What are KCEX fees? The venue advertises zero spot fees and reduced futures rates. In our tables the fee is yours to set in the «trade fee» field — put in zero and watch how the net spread changes.
KCEX: How many contracts and pairs does KCEX have? By our measurements over eight hundred perpetual contracts and around eight hundred and fifty spot pairs. The figures are live — they come from the exchange’s own directory on every refresh.
KCEX: Why do KCEX routes show a question mark instead of a transfer status? The venue does not publish whether deposits and withdrawals are open per network, or what a transfer costs. We will not present a guess as a fact, so the badge reads «unknown» and those rows are hidden while the «working transfers only» filter is on.
Both at once
Most people end up keeping both: one for daily trades, the other for what the first one lacks. It makes sense to split the jobs: spot and earn on one, bots and launches on the other. Balances are pre-funded, so no transfer is needed at the moment of a trade.
Live numbers
The table above is built from our own market snapshots: USDT pairs, perpetual contracts, P2P ads and currencies, withdrawal networks and the cheapest one. OKX and KCEX can be compared on facts rather than promises.
What the numbers say
Counting spot pairs, KCEX comes out ahead by 1.8×: 856 USDT pairs against 467. P2P advertisements reach us from OKX alone: 16 currencies. On perpetual contracts KCEX is ahead — 820 to 517. A price for moving USDT exists only for OKX: 0.0029 over ARBITRUM.
