Funding rate arbitrage

Funding rates from every exchange we track, and the best delta-neutral LONG/SHORT pairs.

Funding rates for the major coins

Snapshot taken 2026-10-31 21:01 UTC. Replaced with live data in the browser.

The rate for a single period, as the exchange publishes it. No annualised figure: that is the current rate multiplied by a year and bears no relation to what anyone actually receives.

Frequently asked questions

Who pays whom?

With a positive rate longs pay shorts; with a negative rate shorts pay longs.

Why do some coins settle every 1 or 4 hours?

Exchanges shorten the interval for volatile coins. We account for it when computing APR.

Are fees included?

Yes, set your trading fee and it is deducted four times.

What is funding rate arbitrage

Perpetual futures exchange payments between longs and shorts every 1–8 hours. When a coin has a high funding rate on one exchange and a low or negative one on another, you can short where it is high and long where it is low. The position is price-neutral and earns the rate difference.

Reading the table

Rates are normalised per hour so exchanges with 1h, 4h and 8h intervals compare fairly. APR assumes the current rate stays constant; profit estimates subtract four trading fees (open and close on both exchanges).

Risks

Rates change every period, prices can diverge between venues and a sharp move can push one leg towards liquidation. Keep leverage moderate.

How to use this

Step-by-step guides and the concepts behind the numbers in the tables.

1

Funding arbitrage: income that ignores the market

Hold the coin on spot and short it in futures — the price stops mattering and the funding rate accrues. The mechanics, the return maths and the one risk that matters.

2

How not to lose your crypto to “arbitrage”

Scams that look like real trades: how the trust is built, why the first profit proves nothing, and what to check in the minute before you press Send.

3

What a spread is, and why a wide one is usually a trap

The gap between buying and selling exists everywhere. Two different spreads people confuse, and why a percentage without a size means nothing.
