There are no accounts here, and the service does not ask for personal details.
This document describes how the Puffit site handles data.
What the service reads
The service works with public market data: prices, order books, rates and P2P listings. Listings can include the nicknames of buyers and sellers, as the venue itself publishes them.
What the service does not ask for
There is nowhere on the site to enter a name, phone number, payment details, API keys or exchange account details, and the site asks for none of them. This build has no analytics counters and no advertising trackers.
Requests to the server
To open a page, your browser contacts the site’s server. The server program keeps no log of visits and stores no IP addresses; its service log records failures only, with the request method and path. The hosting provider and any web server in front of the site may keep technical logs of their own, depending on their settings. Nothing here works out your country from your address.
Settings in your browser
Your theme, filters and calculator values stay in your browser’s storage and are not sent to the server. The full list is on the cookies and storage page.
Other services
The server, not your browser, asks exchanges and banks for market data. The exception is exchange pages with an embedded video: there the player loads from YouTube’s servers, and Google’s rules apply to it. Once you follow a link to an exchange, that exchange’s terms apply.
Telegram bot
If you message the bot, Telegram passes your chat ID and message text to the server. The server keeps the chat ID and your alert settings so it can reply and send alerts. The conversation itself runs through Telegram and is subject to its rules.
Age
The site is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect anything about children.
Requests about your data
The service keeps no visitor profiles, so there is normally nothing to hand over or erase on request. Settings in your browser go away when you clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Questions and error reports can be sent through the Telegram bot.
Updates
If the way data is handled changes, the text on this page will be updated.
