In short: the difference
MEXC is an exchange with thousands of pairs. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own MX token.
KCEX is an exchange with services around the trading. On the market since 2021, jurisdiction: Seychelles.
What MEXC gives you
The rival’s service list is wide, yet MEXC wins on other things: The early-listing venue: fifteen hundred spot pairs and over a thousand perpetuals, among the broadest we cover. New coins land here before they reach the majors. There is P2P, savings and staking, Kickstarter launches and copy trading. The spot maker fee is zero, and USDT withdrawals on Plasma are free.
Strong sides: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs.
What KCEX gives you
Against an early-listing venue, KCEX plays a different game: Over eight hundred perpetuals is what KCEX carries, every one of them publishing a funding rate and a mark price, with spot adding another eight hundred and fifty pairs. The pitch is straightforward: nothing per spot trade and modest rates on derivatives. Copy trading and launches sit on top, and turnover gathers in the top hundred pairs.
Strong sides: 800+ contracts with open rates and mark prices, zero spot fees per the venue’s own schedule, early listings.
What decides it
- Age. MEXC has run since 2018, KCEX since 2021 — a gap of 3 years. It guarantees nothing on its own, but the older venue has been through more market cycles.
- Native token. MX on MEXC cuts fees and opens launches; KCEX has no such lever.
- Strengths side by side. MEXC: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs; KCEX: 800+ contracts with open rates and mark prices, zero spot fees per the venue’s own schedule, early listings.
- Which job. MEXC is for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list, while KCEX is primarily as a futures venue in funding.
- Worth remembering. MEXC: among thousands of pairs many are very thin: check the book before size. KCEX: spot books are served one pair per request, so we keep the top hundred by turnover under watch.

What people ask most
MEXC: Can I trade without verification? Spot is available with daily withdrawal limits. Lifting them, and P2P, require verification.
MEXC: Why does MEXC list so many coins? It deliberately chose an early-listing strategy. That is its main distinction and its main risk: real projects sit next to pairs turning over a thousand dollars a day.
KCEX: Does KCEX take part in funding? Yes, in full. Every contract arrives in one list with its rate, accrual interval and next payout time, so the annualised rate is computed from the real interval rather than an assumption.
KCEX: How many contracts and pairs does KCEX have? By our measurements over eight hundred perpetual contracts and around eight hundred and fifty spot pairs. The figures are live — they come from the exchange’s own directory on every refresh.
KCEX: Why does spot arbitrage show only some KCEX pairs? The exchange serves its book one pair per request and limits requests to roughly five a second. Walking eight hundred pairs within a single refresh is not possible, so we watch the top hundred by turnover, where nearly all the volume sits. Using the last trade price instead of a book was not an option: you cannot buy at it.
Both at once
Keeping both costs less than it seems: signing up is free, and a choice of two quotes usually beats one. A rare coin is bought where it exists and moved to the ecosystem — easier to hold, stake or sell into a deeper book there.
Live numbers
The figures above do not come from marketing pages: we compute them from the same market snapshots as the rest of the site. MEXC and KCEX can be compared on facts rather than promises.
What the numbers say
A price for moving USDT exists only for MEXC: 0.0001 over AVALANCHE. MEXC gives 1.7× the choice on spot: 1,439 USDT pairs against 856. The longer contract list belongs to MEXC — 1,098 perpetuals, against 820. P2P advertisements reach us from MEXC alone: 83 currencies.
