Binance or MEXC

Depth and ecosystem against early listings and a zero maker fee. A look at when each one pays off.

Compared by the numbers

These figures come from the venues themselves. Volume is missing on purpose: every exchange counts it its own way, and on a few the top of the book is tokenised equities. The bottom row counts the P2P currencies our scanner reaches, not everything the venue lists.

Different jobs, not different classes

These venues solve different problems. Binance is the default exchange with the deepest books and a full ecosystem of services. MEXC is where new coins appear first, and where a limit order costs nothing.

Most people keep both rather than choosing one.

Zero maker fee: where MEXC wins outright

On MEXC a limit order that sits in the book and waits to fill costs nothing. This is a standing condition, not a promotion, and it changes the arithmetic of whole strategies.

It shows most clearly in triangular arbitrage: three trades at the usual 0.1% cost 0.3%, more than most routes return. At a zero maker fee those same three trades cost nothing. Among the exchanges we poll, working triangles today are found almost exclusively on MEXC, and this fee is exactly why.

Listings: first to arrive

On spot pair count MEXC is in the top three: fifteen hundred pairs against a strict selection on Binance. A fresh coin almost always trades here before anywhere else, and staking on new coins plus Kickstarter and Launchpad launches come with it.

One practical tip: on a wide listing always look at volume and book depth, not just at the price. The number in a table shows the best price, not how much you can take at it.

What MEXC gives you

Spot — fifteen hundred pairs and a zero maker fee.

Futures — over a thousand perpetual contracts with published funding rates.

P2P — hryvnia, tenge, lira and dozens of other currencies.

Earn — savings and staking, including on brand-new coins.

Kickstarter and Launchpad — join launches before the big exchanges list them.

Copy trading — mirror experienced traders.

Free USDT withdrawals on Plasma — sixteen networks in total.

Who each one suits

Binance — for core trading, large sums and holding. Deeper books, the largest P2P, more services.

MEXC — for limit-order strategies where the fee decides, and for new listings in their first hours.

The pair works better than either alone: Binance covers depth, MEXC covers fresh coins and the zero maker fee.

What the numbers say

USDT leaves cheaper from MEXC: 0.0001 over AVALANCHE, against 0.0100 BSC on Binance. P2P coverage is wider on MEXC: 83 currencies against 56 on Binance. The longer contract list belongs to MEXC — 1,098 perpetuals, against 860. Spot breadth favours MEXC — 1,439 USDT pairs to 519, 2.8× more. Binance lists 19 networks for USDT, MEXC lists 16 — that is freedom of route when you move funds.

Frequently asked

Is the MEXC fee really zero?
Zero for makers — an order that sits in the book and waits to fill. Buying at market makes you a taker and is charged, though the rate is among the lowest on the market.
Why does MEXC have so many coins?
The exchange deliberately chose early listing: fifteen hundred spot pairs with new coins almost daily.
Which has the deeper book?
Binance: first place on the market for major pairs. On MEXC check volume and depth before a large trade.
Where are withdrawals cheaper?
MEXC withdraws USDT free on the Plasma network, with sixteen networks in total. Live figures for both are in the table at the top of this page.
Can I use both?
That is the standard setup: Binance as the main venue, MEXC for limit strategies and new coins.
MEXC or Binance — which should you pick?
It is the same choice whichever way round you write it. The comparison above is built on what can be measured: fees, pair counts, withdrawal chains and funding routes. Look less at which venue is "better" in general and more at which of those matters to you.
