Binance or Bitget

The largest exchange against the largest copy-trading venue. A feature-by-feature look at who needs the second one.

Compared by the numbers

Everything below is read from the platforms directly. We leave volume out by choice — the methods differ too much for an honest comparison. And the P2P row measures our own scanner’s reach, not the exchange’s full currency list.

One difference defines everything

Bitget grew out of copy trading — the mechanism where your trades automatically mirror a chosen trader. It is the largest such venue in the industry, and everything else was built around it.

Its second achievement is the widest spot listing in our review: over three thousand two hundred USDT pairs. If a coin trades anywhere at all, there is a good chance it trades here.

Copy trading: how it works

The mechanics are simple: pick a trader, set an amount, and their trades open on your account proportionally. The trader takes a share of profit, the exchange takes a fee on turnover.

Choose with the same care you would give a trade. In a trader card, look at two things: maximum drawdown and how long the account has been running. Three months of returns in a rising market says less than a year of steady work with a small drawdown. Bitget shows both openly, and that is what makes its section good.

What Bitget gives you

Spot — 3200+ pairs, the record of this review.

Futures — over eight hundred perpetual contracts.

Copy trading — the calling card, with open statistics per trader.

P2P — around seventy fiat currencies.

Earn — savings, staking, accumulation products.

Launchpad and Launchpool — new token launches.

Bots — grid and automated strategies.

Insurance fund — its size is publicly disclosed.

Cheap BSC withdrawals — 0.01 USDT, among the lowest in this review.

What Binance gives you

Spot — over a thousand pairs and the best book depth on the market.

Futures and options — the full derivatives set.

P2P — the largest in the world by offer count.

Earn — savings, staking, dual investments, auto-invest.

Launchpad and Megadrop — project launches.

Pay and card — spend crypto directly.

BNB token — a fee discount behind one toggle.

On turnover and wide listings

Two things to keep in mind. First: Bitget lists tokenised equities, and they inflate total turnover considerably — comparing venues on that figure is meaningless, which is why our tables carry no turnover at all.

Second: three thousand pairs does not mean three thousand deep markets. Check book depth before a large trade, not just the price in a table. That rule applies to any wide listing.

Who each one suits

Binance — if you trade yourself and care about depth, P2P and a full ecosystem of services.

Bitget — if you want to hand decisions to another trader, or you are hunting rare coins: on listing breadth this venue is first.

What the numbers say

Our scanner reads P2P advertisements on Bitget in 74 currencies and on Binance in 56. Neither pulls ahead on perpetuals: about 878 both ways. Binance asks less to move USDT — 0.0100 over BSC; Bitget comes to 0.0100 BSC. Binance lists 19 networks for USDT, Bitget lists 12 — that is freedom of route when you move funds. Neither side wins on spot: 556 USDT pairs apiece, give or take.

Frequently asked

What is copy trading?
A mechanism where a chosen trader trades are automatically mirrored on your account in proportion to your amount. The trader takes a share of profit, the exchange a fee on turnover.
What should I look at when choosing a trader?
Maximum drawdown and how long the account has run, not just total returns. Bitget shows both openly.
Which has more coins?
Bitget — over three thousand two hundred spot pairs, the record of our review. Current figures are in the table at the top of this page.
Why do you not compare turnover?
Exchanges count it differently, and Bitget lists tokenised equities that inflate the total. Such a comparison shows nothing.
What does BGB give me?
A fee discount and access to exchange programmes, from new token launches to higher savings rates.
Bitget or Binance — which should you pick?
It is the same choice whichever way round you write it. The comparison above is built on what can be measured: fees, pair counts, withdrawal chains and funding routes. Look less at which venue is "better" in general and more at which of those matters to you.
