In short: the difference
MEXC is a venue that lists early and often. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own MX token.
KuCoin is an exchange that covers several jobs at once. On the market since 2017, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own KCS token.
What MEXC gives you
The rival’s service list is wide, yet MEXC wins on other things: The early-listing venue: fifteen hundred spot pairs and over a thousand perpetuals, among the broadest we cover. New coins land here before they reach the majors. There is P2P, savings and staking, Kickstarter launches and copy trading. The spot maker fee is zero, and USDT withdrawals on Plasma are free.
Strong sides: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs.
What KuCoin gives you
Against an early-listing venue, KuCoin plays a different game: The venue known for its trading bots: grid, DCA and arbitrage bots are configured right in the interface, with no third-party service. Alongside that, spot across eight hundred-plus pairs, perpetual futures, P2P, savings and staking under Earn, Spotlight launches and copy trading. Nineteen networks for USDT withdrawals.
Strong sides: built-in trading bots, 800+ spot pairs, 19 withdrawal networks, a broad P2P.
What decides it
- Native tokens. MEXC has MX, KuCoin has KCS: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
- Strengths side by side. MEXC: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs; KuCoin: built-in trading bots, 800+ spot pairs, 19 withdrawal networks, a broad P2P.
- Which job. MEXC is for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list, while KuCoin is for anyone who wants to automate trading without writing code.
- Worth remembering. MEXC: among thousands of pairs many are very thin: check the book before size. KuCoin: USDT withdrawals cost more than on neighbouring venues — compare networks before moving.

What people ask most
MEXC: Is the spot fee really zero? Zero for the maker — an order that rests in the book and fills. Buying at market makes you a taker, paying the normal rate, though one of the lowest around.
MEXC: Is MEXC good for arbitrage? For same-venue arbitrage, yes, thanks to the zero maker fee. For cross-venue you must watch volume: on thin pairs a visible price gap is often unfillable.
KuCoin: Are there futures and P2P? Yes: nearly seven hundred perpetual contracts and P2P for ordinary money.
KuCoin: How many withdrawal networks? Nineteen for USDT, a wide choice. The price depends on the network, so compare before you send: the live table is at the top of this page.
KuCoin: What is KCS? The exchange own token. It discounts fees and pays daily distributions from part of the venue fee income — the latter is uncommon among exchange tokens.
Both at once
You do not have to pick one. Two accounts give you a fallback when the coin or network you need exists only on the other venue. A rare coin is bought where it exists and moved to the ecosystem — easier to hold, stake or sell into a deeper book there.
Live numbers
Everything in the table above is recomputed together with the rest of the site — pairs, contracts, P2P, networks and the withdrawal fee. MEXC and KuCoin can be compared on facts rather than promises.
What the numbers say
P2P reaches our scanner in 89 currencies from KuCoin and 83 from MEXC. The spot lists differ by 1.8× — 1,439 USDT pairs on MEXC, 817 on the other side. USDT leaves KuCoin over 18 networks and MEXC over 16: the wider the choice, the easier a cheap bridge is to find. The longer contract list belongs to MEXC — 1,098 perpetuals, against 707. Moving USDT costs less on MEXC: 0.0001 over AVALANCHE, where KuCoin wants 0.50 TON.
