WEEX vs Crypto.com

WEEX is built for contracts; Crypto.com also covers earn, bots and launches. It comes down to what you need more often.

Compared by the numbers

These figures come from the venues themselves. Volume is missing on purpose: every exchange counts it its own way, and on a few the top of the book is tokenised equities. The bottom row counts the P2P currencies our scanner reaches, not everything the venue lists.

In short: the difference

What WEEX is: a derivatives terminal. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own WXT token.

What Crypto.com is: an exchange that covers several jobs at once. On the market since 2016, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own CRO token.

What WEEX gives you

Compared with an ecosystem, WEEX leans on its own strengths: A young venue that grew fast: seventeen hundred spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals, more than many long-established names. There is P2P in dozens of currencies, copy trading, savings and its own WXT token. The exchange is known for the user protection fund it holds publicly.

Strong sides: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund.

What Crypto.com gives you

The terminal is strong on contracts, but Crypto.com has its own ground: A large international venue with licences in several jurisdictions, a card programme and an app with tens of millions of users. Its main quote currency is the dollar rather than USDT: there are only a hundred-odd USDT pairs, but they are liquid coins with a dense book. There are four hundred perpetual contracts too: the exchange serves funding one contract per request, but accrual here is hourly, so a dedicated walker keeps up — the venue does take part in our funding section.

Strong sides: a dense book on the major pairs, licences and regulation, the CRO token for discounts.

What decides it

  • Native tokens. WEEX has WXT, Crypto.com has CRO: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
  • Strengths side by side. WEEX: 1700 spot pairs and 1000 contracts, a broad P2P, a public protection fund; Crypto.com: a dense book on the major pairs, licences and regulation, the CRO token for discounts.
  • Which job. WEEX is for anyone who needs a wide choice of pairs and a live P2P in their currency, while Crypto.com is as a price reference and a funding venue.
  • Worth remembering. WEEX: eleven withdrawal networks — fewer than the largest venues. Crypto.com: only a hundred-odd USDT pairs: most trading is against the actual dollar.

What people ask most

WEEX: How long does a deposit take? Usually around ten minutes, followed by a notification in the app and by email. If it takes longer, first check in a block explorer that the transaction is confirmed — until then the exchange cannot see it.

WEEX: How do I fund a WEEX account? Under Assets choose Deposit, then the coin and the network, and send to the address shown. The network must match the one you send from: a network mismatch is the most common way to lose coins, and the exchange warns about it separately in its own guide.

WEEX: Do I need an API key for you to show WEEX data? No. The exchange serves all market data publicly, and our scanner works without keys and without access to anyone’s account.

Crypto.com: Why is the venue absent from triangular arbitrage? It does not publish the size resting at the best price. Without that there is no saying how large a route can fill, and showing a return with no execution ceiling would mislead.

Crypto.com: Does Crypto.com take part in funding? Yes. The venue serves rates one contract per request, but accrual here is hourly, so there is no need to chase seconds: a dedicated walker covers all four hundred contracts in a couple of minutes and refreshes the snapshot every five. It stays out of the spot-versus-futures comparison, though — its contracts settle in actual dollars while our spot is quoted in USDT, and the difference would land as a phantom basis on every row.

Both at once

Most people end up keeping both: one for daily trades, the other for what the first one lacks. Spot and earn stay on the ecosystem, contracts on the terminal. Moving between them costs pennies on the right network.

Live numbers

The figures above do not come from marketing pages: we compute them from the same market snapshots as the rest of the site. WEEX and Crypto.com can be compared on facts rather than promises.

Frequently asked

Crypto.com or WEEX — which should you pick?
It is the same choice whichever way round you write it. The comparison above is built on what can be measured: fees, pair counts, withdrawal chains and funding routes. Look less at which venue is "better" in general and more at which of those matters to you.
