In short: the difference
First in the pair, MEXC, is the place where new coins show up first. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own MX token.
Second in the pair, HIBT, is a venue with bots and a Web3 side. .
What MEXC gives you
The rival’s service list is wide, yet MEXC wins on other things: The early-listing venue: fifteen hundred spot pairs and over a thousand perpetuals, among the broadest we cover. New coins land here before they reach the majors. There is P2P, savings and staking, Kickstarter launches and copy trading. The spot maker fee is zero, and USDT withdrawals on Plasma are free.
Strong sides: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs.
What HIBT gives you
Against an early-listing venue, HIBT plays a different game: HIBT is spot: just under five hundred pairs against USDT and noticeable turnover on the leading coins. Because the book is served a pair at a time, we keep the top hundred and fifty by turnover under watch, walked by a dedicated collector. Size comes with the best quotes, so how much a route can actually fill is visible too.
Strong sides: sizes at the best quote are open, nearly 500 USDT pairs, a relaxed request pace with no hard limits.
What decides it
- Native token. MX on MEXC cuts fees and opens launches; HIBT has no such lever.
- Strengths side by side. MEXC: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs; HIBT: sizes at the best quote are open, nearly 500 USDT pairs, a relaxed request pace with no hard limits.
- Which job. MEXC is for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list, while HIBT is as an extra side in spot and triangular routes.
- Worth remembering. MEXC: among thousands of pairs many are very thin: check the book before size. HIBT: the book is served one pair per request, so only the top of the turnover list enters the scanners.
Which one fits you
MEXC — for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list.
HIBT — as an extra side in spot and triangular routes.
What people ask most
MEXC: Can I trade without verification? Spot is available with daily withdrawal limits. Lifting them, and P2P, require verification.
MEXC: Is the spot fee really zero? Zero for the maker — an order that rests in the book and fills. Buying at market makes you a taker, paying the normal rate, though one of the lowest around.
HIBT: Why do the scanners show only some HIBT pairs? The exchange serves its book one pair per request. Walking five hundred pairs in one refresh is impossible, so we watch the top of the turnover list. Using the last trade price instead was not an option: you cannot buy at it.
HIBT: Does HIBT take part in triangular arbitrage? Yes. The venue publishes the size at the best quote, and without that number an exchange does not enter the triangular section at all.
HIBT: Why is HIBT missing from funding? The venue does have futures, but we found no open programmatic access to the funding rate, and without it the section is pointless.
Both at once
You do not have to pick one. Two accounts give you a fallback when the coin or network you need exists only on the other venue. A rare coin is bought where it exists and moved to the ecosystem — easier to hold, stake or sell into a deeper book there.
Live numbers
The table above is built from our own market snapshots: USDT pairs, perpetual contracts, P2P ads and currencies, withdrawal networks and the cheapest one. MEXC and HIBT can be compared on facts rather than promises.
What the numbers say
MEXC gives 3× the choice on spot: 1,439 USDT pairs against 478. Our scanner reads P2P on MEXC only — 83 currencies. MEXC is the one of the two with a published USDT withdrawal: 0.0001 on AVALANCHE.
