MEXC vs Crypto.com

For a rare coin go to MEXC; for bots and earn go to Crypto.com. They overlap less than it looks.

Compared by the numbers

Everything below is read from the platforms directly. We leave volume out by choice — the methods differ too much for an honest comparison. And the P2P row measures our own scanner’s reach, not the exchange’s full currency list.

In short: the difference

First in the pair, MEXC, is the place where new coins show up first. On the market since 2018, jurisdiction: Seychelles, its own MX token.

Second in the pair, Crypto.com, is a venue that doubles as a toolkit. On the market since 2016, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own CRO token.

What MEXC gives you

Compared with an ecosystem, MEXC leans on its own strengths: The early-listing venue: fifteen hundred spot pairs and over a thousand perpetuals, among the broadest we cover. New coins land here before they reach the majors. There is P2P, savings and staking, Kickstarter launches and copy trading. The spot maker fee is zero, and USDT withdrawals on Plasma are free.

Strong sides: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs.

What Crypto.com gives you

Early listings are not the only argument; Crypto.com answers with its own: Crypto.com is a large international exchange: licences in several countries, a card of its own and an app with tens of millions of users. Its principal quote currency is the dollar, so USDT pairs come to about a hundred, though the book on them is dense. On the derivatives side there are four hundred perpetuals: the rate is served one contract per request, but it accrues hourly and our walker collects it.

Strong sides: a dense book on the major pairs, licences and regulation, the CRO token for discounts.

What decides it

  • Jurisdiction. MEXC sits in Seychelles, Crypto.com in Singapore. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
  • Native tokens. MEXC has MX, Crypto.com has CRO: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
  • Strengths side by side. MEXC: a zero maker fee, free withdrawals on Plasma, early listings, 1500 spot pairs; Crypto.com: a dense book on the major pairs, licences and regulation, the CRO token for discounts.
  • Which job. MEXC is for anyone chasing new coins and working from a wide list, while Crypto.com is as a price reference and a funding venue.
  • Worth remembering. MEXC: among thousands of pairs many are very thin: check the book before size. Crypto.com: only a hundred-odd USDT pairs: most trading is against the actual dollar.

What people ask most

MEXC: Is MEXC good for arbitrage? For same-venue arbitrage, yes, thanks to the zero maker fee. For cross-venue you must watch volume: on thin pairs a visible price gap is often unfillable.

MEXC: Is the spot fee really zero? Zero for the maker — an order that rests in the book and fills. Buying at market makes you a taker, paying the normal rate, though one of the lowest around.

Crypto.com: Why is the venue absent from triangular arbitrage? It does not publish the size resting at the best price. Without that there is no saying how large a route can fill, and showing a return with no execution ceiling would mislead.

Crypto.com: Does Crypto.com take part in funding? Yes. The venue serves rates one contract per request, but accrual here is hourly, so there is no need to chase seconds: a dedicated walker covers all four hundred contracts in a couple of minutes and refreshes the snapshot every five. It stays out of the spot-versus-futures comparison, though — its contracts settle in actual dollars while our spot is quoted in USDT, and the difference would land as a phantom basis on every row.

Both at once

Nothing stops you from opening an account on both: it is free, and a pair of venues almost always beats any single one on price. A rare coin is bought where it exists and moved to the ecosystem — easier to hold, stake or sell into a deeper book there.

Live numbers

The figures above do not come from marketing pages: we compute them from the same market snapshots as the rest of the site. MEXC and Crypto.com can be compared on facts rather than promises.

What the numbers say

Frequently asked

Crypto.com or MEXC — which should you pick?
It is the same choice whichever way round you write it. The comparison above is built on what can be measured: fees, pair counts, withdrawal chains and funding routes. Look less at which venue is "better" in general and more at which of those matters to you.
