In short: the difference
First in the pair, Gate, is a venue that lists early and often. On the market since 2013, jurisdiction: Panama, its own GT token.
Second in the pair, Zoomex, is an ecosystem with its own set of services. .
What Gate gives you
Compared with an ecosystem, Gate leans on its own strengths: One of the oldest venues, running since 2013, and first in our coverage for withdrawal networks: twenty-four for USDT alone. Two thousand spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals. There is P2P, savings and staking, Startup launches, copy trading, bots and its own GT token with fee discounts.
Strong sides: 24 USDT withdrawal networks, more than anyone, 2000 spot pairs, running since 2013.
What Zoomex gives you
Early listings are not the only argument; Zoomex answers with its own: A derivatives venue: upwards of seven hundred perpetual contracts, each with an open funding rate, accrual interval and mark price. Spot is smaller — about a hundred USDT pairs — yet those too show best quotes with size. Copy trading and trading tournaments are available. The venue serves its data whole, one response per section and without keys.
Strong sides: 700+ contracts with open rates and mark prices, sizes at the quote on spot, funding interval stated per contract.
What decides it
- Native token. GT on Gate cuts fees and opens launches; Zoomex has no such lever.
- Strengths side by side. Gate: 24 USDT withdrawal networks, more than anyone, 2000 spot pairs, running since 2013; Zoomex: 700+ contracts with open rates and mark prices, sizes at the quote on spot, funding interval stated per contract.
- Which job. Gate is for anyone who values freedom of choice when moving coins between chains, while Zoomex is primarily as a futures venue in funding and spot-futures routes.
- Worth remembering. Gate: the interface is dense with sections: finding the right one takes a while. Zoomex: a narrow spot listing — around a hundred pairs against thousands at the large venues.

Zoomex — primarily as a futures venue in funding and spot-futures routes.
What people ask most
Gate: What is proof of reserves? A Merkle-tree procedure letting you verify your balance is counted in the exchange's liabilities and those liabilities are covered by assets. It does not reveal off-balance-sheet obligations.
Gate: What does the GT token give me? A fee discount and access to exchange programmes, including early sales.
Zoomex: Does Zoomex take part in funding? Yes, in full. The exchange serves every contract in one response with its rate, the accrual interval in hours and the next payout time, so the annualised rate comes from the real period.
Zoomex: Is a key needed for Zoomex public data? No. Market data is served without authentication — their own documentation states this plainly.
Zoomex: Why does Zoomex have few spot pairs? The venue is built around derivatives and its spot listing is narrow by design — around a hundred pairs. Each one does come with the size at the best price, though.
Both at once
Most people end up keeping both: one for daily trades, the other for what the first one lacks. A rare coin is bought where it exists and moved to the ecosystem — easier to hold, stake or sell into a deeper book there.
