Gate vs Crypto.com

For a rare coin go to Gate; for bots and earn go to Crypto.com. They overlap less than it looks.

Compared by the numbers

These figures come from the venues themselves. Volume is missing on purpose: every exchange counts it its own way, and on a few the top of the book is tokenised equities. The bottom row counts the P2P currencies our scanner reaches, not everything the venue lists.

In short: the difference

First in the pair, Gate, is an exchange with thousands of pairs. On the market since 2013, jurisdiction: Panama, its own GT token.

Second in the pair, Crypto.com, is an exchange that covers several jobs at once. On the market since 2016, jurisdiction: Singapore, its own CRO token.

What Gate gives you

Compared with an ecosystem, Gate leans on its own strengths: One of the oldest venues, running since 2013, and first in our coverage for withdrawal networks: twenty-four for USDT alone. Two thousand spot pairs and a thousand perpetuals. There is P2P, savings and staking, Startup launches, copy trading, bots and its own GT token with fee discounts.

Strong sides: 24 USDT withdrawal networks, more than anyone, 2000 spot pairs, running since 2013.

What Crypto.com gives you

Early listings are not the only argument; Crypto.com answers with its own: An international venue with licences in several jurisdictions, a card programme and an app used by tens of millions. What it quotes against first is the dollar rather than USDT: USDT pairs number a little over a hundred, but they are liquid coins with a dense book. Derivatives are here too — four hundred perpetual contracts; funding comes one contract per request, yet accrual is hourly and a dedicated walker keeps pace.

Strong sides: a dense book on the major pairs, licences and regulation, the CRO token for discounts.

What decides it

  • Age. Gate has run since 2013, Crypto.com since 2016 — a gap of 3 years. It guarantees nothing on its own, but the older venue has been through more market cycles.
  • Jurisdiction. Gate sits in Panama, Crypto.com in Singapore. It shapes both the checks you pass and what the venue has to disclose.
  • Native tokens. Gate has GT, Crypto.com has CRO: holders usually get fee discounts and access to launches.
  • Strengths side by side. Gate: 24 USDT withdrawal networks, more than anyone, 2000 spot pairs, running since 2013; Crypto.com: a dense book on the major pairs, licences and regulation, the CRO token for discounts.
  • Which job. Gate is for anyone who values freedom of choice when moving coins between chains, while Crypto.com is as a price reference and a funding venue.
  • Worth remembering. Gate: the interface is dense with sections: finding the right one takes a while. Crypto.com: only a hundred-odd USDT pairs: most trading is against the actual dollar.

Crypto.com — as a price reference and a funding venue.

What people ask most

Gate: Are there many coins? One of the widest listings on the market, comparable to MEXC. As there, breadth calls for caution: check a pair's volume before trading.

Gate: How reliable is Gate? It has operated since 2013 and publishes proof of reserves regularly — good marks by industry standards. That publication is not a full audit.

Crypto.com: Why is the venue absent from triangular arbitrage? It does not publish the size resting at the best price. Without that there is no saying how large a route can fill, and showing a return with no execution ceiling would mislead.

Crypto.com: Does Crypto.com take part in funding? Yes. The venue serves rates one contract per request, but accrual here is hourly, so there is no need to chase seconds: a dedicated walker covers all four hundred contracts in a couple of minutes and refreshes the snapshot every five. It stays out of the spot-versus-futures comparison, though — its contracts settle in actual dollars while our spot is quoted in USDT, and the difference would land as a phantom basis on every row.

Both at once

Nothing stops you from opening an account on both: it is free, and a pair of venues almost always beats any single one on price. A rare coin is bought where it exists and moved to the ecosystem — easier to hold, stake or sell into a deeper book there.

Live numbers

The table above is built from our own market snapshots: USDT pairs, perpetual contracts, P2P ads and currencies, withdrawal networks and the cheapest one. Gate and Crypto.com can be compared on facts rather than promises.

What the numbers say

Spot breadth favours Gate — 2,038 USDT pairs to 123, 16.6× more. Gate carries more perpetuals: 1,070 where the other has 411. Our scanner reads P2P on Gate only — 72 currencies. Of the two, only Gate publishes a USDT withdrawal price: 0.0500, chain ARBITRUM.

Frequently asked

Crypto.com or Gate — which should you pick?
It is the same choice whichever way round you write it. The comparison above is built on what can be measured: fees, pair counts, withdrawal chains and funding routes. Look less at which venue is "better" in general and more at which of those matters to you.
