Pionex review

An exchange built around trading bots — and one of the few that openly publishes the size at the best price.

What Pionex is

Pionex is put together differently from an ordinary exchange. Its foundation is built-in trading bots: grid, DCA, arbitrage and a dozen more strategies that run inside the interface at no extra charge. Manual trading is there too, but automation is the point.

By our measurements the venue carries a little over three hundred spot pairs against USDT. Pionex aggregates liquidity from the large exchanges, so its prices usually sit right up against the market: do not expect wide gaps here — but equally, no phantom spreads off a thin book.

What is on offer

Trading bots — grid, DCA, arbitrage and copy strategies, built in and free.

Spot — over three hundred USDT pairs.

Perpetual contracts — present, but the exchange does not serve funding rates as a list, so the venue is absent from funding.

What makes Pionex useful in our scanners

One detail: it publishes the size resting at the best price. Most venues serve only the price itself, and from that there is no telling how large a route can fill. That is why not every exchange makes it into triangular arbitrage — Gate and LBank, for instance, do not, for exactly this reason. Pionex does.

The venue takes part in spot arbitrage, triangular routes and stablecoin monitoring.

Why Pionex routes show a question mark

The venue does not openly publish its network and withdrawal-fee directory, so we show no transfer status for it. Those rows are hidden while the «working transfers only» filter is on — that reflects what we know, not a closed withdrawal.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants a grid or DCA bot running without a subscription or third-party software. For hunting large cross-exchange gaps it suits less: its prices are designed to track the market.

What the venue offers

the bots are built into the exchange itself: grid, infinity grid, DCA, portfolio rebalancing, arbitrage and a spot-futures pair; leveraged tokens come separately.

The legal side

the US arm, Pionex.US, holds money-transmitter licences in individual states under NMLS 2284360; those permissions do not extend to the international platform.

Frequently asked

How many pairs does Pionex have?
By our measurements a little over three hundred spot pairs against USDT. The figure is live and refreshes with the data.
Why does Pionex rarely show large spreads?
Because the venue aggregates liquidity from the large exchanges and its prices are designed to track the market. That is a drawback for gap-hunting and an advantage for fill reliability.
What makes Pionex useful for triangular arbitrage?
It publishes the size at the best price. Without that number there is no saying how large a route can fill, and venues that withhold it do not enter the triangular section at all.
Why is Pionex missing from funding?
The venue does run perpetuals, but it does not serve funding rates as a list, and without the rate the funding section is pointless.
Do the bots on Pionex cost extra?
The built-in strategies are available at no separate charge — the exchange earns on trading fees.
