P2P books: where your ad would stand in the queue

The queues of ads on several exchanges side by side, and your place in each. How to read the board, what the trade-count threshold does and which ads never get here.

What this section is for

Most P2P pages answer the taker question: where to buy cheaper and sell dearer right now. P2P books answer the maker question: if I post my price, where will I stand in the queue.

The price alone does not tell you. Ads sit close together, and a cent of difference can move you up several places or change nothing. So here the queues of several exchanges stand side by side, and your price is placed into each one exactly where it would land.

What to set at the top

  • Coin — USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH.
  • Currency — yours, out of eighty-nine. It is not picked by country: until you choose, it is USD, and the page remembers your choice.
  • You are posting — your role, not the buyer's action. «Selling» puts you in the queue of sellers people buy the coin from, where a lower price wins. «Buying» is the queue of buyers, where a higher price wins. The rule for the chosen side is written right above the table.
  • Your price — what you intend to post. A comma or a dot both work.
  • Min orders — a threshold on the merchant's trade count. Ads below it leave the queue.
  • Payment method — matched here by its exact name, not by the start of the word.
  • Exchanges — four are on at first: Binance, Bybit, OKX and MEXC. You can switch them all on.

How to read the board and the columns

The board has four numbers. Best rival ad is the best price among the chosen exchanges and where it sits. Your rank is how many ads are strictly better than your price, plus one; the best rank among the chosen exchanges is shown. Gap to first is how far you need to move your price to lead the queue, or how far ahead you already are. Ads is how many there are in the queues shown.

Below, each exchange is a column of its own. Ads run from best to worst, and yours is marked with a star in its place. Each shows the price, limits, the merchant and their trade count. Next to the exchange name is how much its best price trails the best among the chosen ones. Twelve ads are shown first; a button opens the rest.

Your rank is counted among the ads the exchange returned, which is the first page of its list. If your price is worse than all of them, your real place may be further down.

What is left out and why

  • Prices far from the market. Within each exchange with five ads or more, ads more than 5 % from its median are dropped. On top of that, one band is set for the coin and currency on the ads of all exchanges, both sides, 5 to 10 % around the median: an ad outside it counts on no page.
  • USDT far under the official rate. Where the currency has an official rate, in the sellers' queue (you chose «Selling») USDT ads more than 5 % under it are not shown: the market does not trade there.
  • Copies of another book. Toobit's P2P serves Bitget's ads. The Toobit column is labelled «shared book with Bitget», and ads Bitget already lists are not repeated in it.
  • Venues with no open source. Telegram Wallet and xRocket publish no public list of ads, so their queues stay empty here and they are marked as not answering.

What to check before you post a price

  1. Set a trade-count threshold. A merchant with three trades can lead on price, but overtaking someone buyers skip anyway is pointless.
  2. Pick your payment method: the queue for your bank can look nothing like the overall one.
  3. Look at the other side on P2P rates: a place in the queue is worth nothing if you cannot exit the trade without a loss.
  4. Check the queue on the exchange itself. At an equal price the exchange decides the order, not us.
  5. Reread the scam schemes: makers get fake receipts and payment reversals more often than takers.

Frequently asked

What does the star mean? It is your ad with the price you typed, placed where it would stand in that queue. Everything above it is an ad with a better price for the other side.

Why are ads at the same price placed after me? We count only ads that are strictly better. At an equal price the exchange orders ads by its own rules, and you may end up behind them.

How often are the queues refreshed? Every thirty seconds while the auto-refresh box is ticked. The refresh button reads them at once.

How is this different from P2P routes? P2P routes look for what to buy and where to sell right now. The books help you choose a price so that your ad gets seen. Same data, different questions.
